The CONSTRUIT 2017 Interest Group
The CONSTRUIT 2017 conference aims to show that making construals provides a conceptual and practical framework for many different varieties of learning-through-making. With this in mind, we are developing online resources relating to the key themes of the conference. These are being created in the online "environment for making construals" (the MCE).
For an introduction to the MCE, please consult the Online Resources for CONSTRUIT 2017.
The primary activity for the CONSTRUIT 2017 Interest Group will take the form of conversations about these evolving resources that will be conducted within the MCE itself. By logging into the MCE, you will be able to give feedback on existing construals or make new construals of your own.
A construal is in essence a thing-to-think-with or to-converse-with that can take many forms. It might for example be a hypertext document, an open-ended interactive digital artefact, or a blend of the two.
You are invited to help us design, develop and refine online resources, both by contributing to commentaries on construals and by introducing new construals for discussion. This invitation is extended to everyone interested in learning-through-making from all educational sectors and disciplines, including school teachers, pupils, life-long learners – and former students of Empirical Modelling at Warwick.
